Miami Jazz Guitar specializes in catering to South Floridians who desire top notch guitar instruction within the comfort of their own home. Our private lessons offered by experienced and certified guitar teachers, cover all the fundamentals of music that you would receive at any major music school. Our vast curriculum consists of various essential subjects including jazz guitar technique, theory,harmony, jazz / blues improvisation, chord melody, sight-reading and ear-training. All lessons are specially tailored around each individual’s musical needs and goals. A Miami Jazz Guitar Certificate is awarded upon completion of each level.
Miami Jazz Guitar was formed by three seasoned professional musicians and educators who perceived a need for quality jazz guitar instruction in South Florida. Although such instruction is available within the local college environment, the outsider who has no desire to enroll in one of these institutions or is not yet prepared to do so, has limited alternatives. In view of this,Miami Jazz Guitar students typically fall into one of the following categories:
- The jazz or blues lover who wants to play during his leisure time and therefore wants to learn at his own pace without the pressures of attending and meeting the deadlines required by most music schools (not to mention the financial implications!).
- The high school student who has a desire to pursue a career in music and needs a qualified teacher to prepare him/her for entry into a good school.
- The intermediate/advanced guitarist who has a rock background but lacks the working knowledge to perform in a jazz setting.
- The beginner who wants to ensure he is being instructed properly from the very first lesson by a certified and experienced jazz guitar professional.
